The continuing saga of "Etch A Sketch® of Love"...

One night at around ten o'clock, on a whim, I emailed the Ohio Art Company and told their PR contact about my song "Etch A Sketch® of Love". I figured they might eventually get around to checking it out, but I wasn't going to hold my breath waiting for a reply.
The very next morning, at about ten o'clock, the phone rang. I was still in bed. My wife brought me the phone and whispered, "It's the Ohio Art Company." I took the phone from her and said "Hello?"
It was the president of the company! He told me the song was going around their office and everyone was enjoying it. I think the words he used were "rolling on the floor". We had a nice chat and he said they would send me a "prize".
A few days later, a nice package arrived, including a collector's edition Etch A Sketch® and a DVD documentary about the Ohio Art Company.

Thanks to Larry Killgallon and everyone at Ohio Art Company!!

I tried to draw a straight line, from your heart to mine
But my hands were shakin’, it came out wrong every time
I tried to draw your sweet blue eyes, bright as the skys above
But it’s no use since you shook up my Etch A Sketch of love

Etch A Sketch of love, my slate is squeaky clean
If I could only see your face, upon that little screen
Well I tried to draw another there, but she don’t come out right
My Etch A Sketch is all shook up, and you’re nowhere in sight

Well I only go in circles, can't synchronize the dials
I must have tried a thousand times to draw one of your smiles
Now every moment of the day it's you I'm thinkin' of
My heart's erased since you shook up my Etch A Sketch of love

Etch A Sketch of love, my slate is squeaky clean
If I could only see your face, upon that little screen
Well I tried to draw another there, but she don’t come out right
My Etch A Sketch is all shook up, and you’re nowhere in sight.
